Role Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our Security team based in Surrey. We are seeking an experienced Security Co-Ordinator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the security industry. The ideal candidate will have medium to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong computer and administrative skills, and a proven ability to manage and oversee security operations efficiently.

Hours: 50 hours per week, with flexibility

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

Pay: £15.00per hour

Requirements for the security role:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong computer knowledge.
  • Administrative skills: ability to handle security-related documentation, incident reports, and other administrative tasks.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and coordinate responses to security incidents effectively.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to security breaches or emergencies.
  • Valid full UK driving license
  • Valid SIA License (Security Industry Authority) required.
  • First aid certification (a plus).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CCTV monitoring systems and access control management.
  • Ability to train and develop junior staff in security procedures and technologies.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and the ability to mitigate security threats.

Security duties:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily security operations, ensuring compliance with security protocols and safety standards.
  • Lead and train security staff, providing guidance and support to maintain a high level of performance.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and address risks proactively.
  • Manage incident reports, documentation, and maintain accurate security logs.
  • Oversee the scheduling and deployment of security personnel, ensuring adequate coverage at all times.
  • Ensure the use and maintenance of security equipment, including surveillance systems, alarms, and access control devices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for emergency response situations and security-related incidents, coordinating with local authorities when needed.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and other software for report generation, communication, and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain effective communication with upper management, providing updates on security activities and incidents.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security protocols and emergency response plans.
  • Perform regular inspections of premises to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
