Role Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join our Security team based in Coventry. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Security Officer with a strong background in the field.
Hours: Saturday & Sunday: 06:00hrs-18:00hrs / Monday & Tuesday: 21:00hrs-06:00hrs Term time and 18:00hrs-06:00hrs out of term.
Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour

Requirements for the role:
- Valid SIA Licence.
- A full 5 year working history to meet the BS 7858:2019 Screening of individuals.
- To be able to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
- Excellent time management.
- Providing strong customer service.
- To be able to work on your own and as a part of a team.
- Able to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- To protect the customer’s property at all times against theft from both inside and outside the premises as far as they can reasonably do.
- To protect the customer’s property against damage and/or wilful attack from both inside and outside the premises as far as they can reasonably do.
- To act in a professional, courteous and proper manner to all persons you have direct or indirect contact with whilst carrying out your duties.
- To be aware of the site Assignment, risk assessment & Health and Safety Instructions and adhere to them at all times.
- To complete company records as required including Daily Occurrence reports, Incident Reports, and any other documentation specified in the Assignment Instructions or by the Contracts Manager and Client.
- To ensure the keys are signed in and out each time they are used and also secured on a land yard when patrolling.
- Monitoring and securing the college in general
- Regular patrols using the onsite patrolling system Trackforce
- Unlocks and Locks at request of buildings situated on the campus
- Defect reporting on the building
- Fire checks
- Water Flushing checks
- Electrical equipment checks during internal patrols
- Reception duties
- To provide all necessary patrols, ,attend all alarm/fire activations in accordance with the assignment instructions
