Control Room Operator

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Control Room Operator who will work at our Head Office based in Rochester, Kent.

You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality of organisational skills, and you will be responsible for ensuring that company security procedures are maintained to a high standard and exercised effectively.

You are required to hold a SIA Licence.

Position Information:

• Job Title: Control Room Operator
• Location: Rochester
• Pay Rate: £11.50 per hour
• Shifts Pattern: 4 on 4 off Nights

Job Role/Requirements

• SIA Licence required
• Security and customer service experience is required
• Must have good command of English language
• Good levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal at all times
• Flexible in the approach to daily duties
• All applicants must pass BS7858, So you must have a right to work in the UK, A 5 Year checkable work history and proof of identification

Main Duties

• To monitor and administer all aspects of the Control Centre technology systems including Access Control, CCTV, Alarms, vehicle trackers, digital 2-way radios
• To complete the rota for all security staff and using own initiative to plan and cover dropped shifts.
• To work closely with the Mobile patrol officers and give guidance for all duties.
• To provide initial call handling for all security control centre calls.
• To ensure that all critical alarms are actioned in a timely manner and accurate details provided to the mobile patrol officer as and when needed.
• Provide out of ours answering service to clients and staff and then forward to relevant managers.
• Taking hourly check calls from all front-line operational staff, using our 3-stage lone worker policy should a check call not be received.
• Accurate handover from shift to shift.
• Ensuring the Daily occurrence book, incident report forms, and any other relevant paperwork is to a good standard and filed in the correct areas.
