Construction Site Security Gateman

Job Purpose:

Ensure the security and safety of a construction site in the SN8 2HW area by managing access points, monitoring personnel, and safeguarding assets during operational hours.

Job Overview:

As a Construction Site Security Gateman, you will be responsible for controlling site access, registering individuals, and maintaining a secure environment. Your role is crucial in preventing unauthorized access, ensuring the safety of personnel, and protecting valuable assets on the construction site.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Open the construction site at 6:30 am, ensuring a safe and secure start to the day's operations.

2. Monitor the entrance gate from 6:35 am to 17:15 pm, overseeing the entry and exit of all individuals.

3. Register and sign in/out all personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering or leaving the construction site.

4. Conduct thorough security checks on incoming and outgoing vehicles and personnel.

5. Respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies on the site.

6. Collaborate with site management to enforce safety and security protocols.

7. Lock up the construction site at 17:30 pm, ensuring the premises are secure for the night.

8. Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including personnel and vehicle logs.

Requirements:

1. Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license is mandatory.

2. Previous experience in construction site security is preferred.

3. Ability to work Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 17:30 pm.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Excellent observational and situational awareness skills.

6. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.

7. Basic computer skills for maintaining logs and records.

Contract Details:

- Pay: £12 per hour

- Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30 am to 17:30 pm

- Contract Duration: Approximately 10 months
