 Job Overview 

A Warehouse/Gatehouse Security Officer protects the safety of the premises while providing support, direction, and information to all employees, visitors, and contractors.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Gatehouse duties
• Dealing with deliveries (access/egress with accompanying data records)
• Meeting & greeting visitors
• Perform bag & body searches in line with company policy
• Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas
• Car Park Management. CCTV Monitoring
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed while controlling the staff, visitors and contractors' access to the premises
• Record and report any hazards and unsafe working practices
• Undertake patrols and inspections in accordance with management instruction
• Perform lock & unlock duties
• Lighting Checks
• Monitor alarms, protect the site against unlawful access and perform routine security equipment tests
• In addition to these functions employees are required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required
• Completion of full in-depth reports of incidents and faults which may occur

Requirements

• A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
• Be reliable and trustworthy
• Fluent in written and spoken English
