Enigma CCTV are looking for a qualified and ambitious CCTV Site Supervisor to join our growing team.

Shift Pattern:

• 12 hour shifts
• 4 on 4 off
• Days (8AM to 8PM) and Nights (8PM to 8AM)
• 42 Hours per week

Pay rate: £15.54 per hour

Location: Colindale, NW9 4EW

Job Summary

To provide a monitoring and control service using CCTV, communication systems and computer based access control systems, within the standards laid down in the Code of Practice and Operational Procedural Manual.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To have successfully completed the training course for the award of a CCTV (PSS) Operator qualification from an SIA-recognised Awarding Body e.g. NOCN, Edexcel, City & Guilds or Asset. To be in possession of a valid SIA Licence for the sector you are working in or have your application for such in the SIA clearing system under the Approved Contractors Scheme.
2. To provide supervision, provide cover shifts, and oversee shift operations.
3. To manage and maintain the site rota.
4. To oversee and coordinate the activities of CCTV personnel during assigned shifts to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and maintain a high level of service.
5. To induct and train new staff in the policies and procedures of the control room. Including the operating system.
6. To update and maintain the site training matrix.
7. To ensure that operator training from the LBB portal is up-to-date and completed.
8. To maintain personal standards of appearance whilst on shift and to ensure your dress is always in good order as outlined in the site Assignment Instruction.
9. To monitor and patrol via view-screens effectively and to take any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events seen or informed about.
10. To maintain accurate details of patrol activities, incidents, and shift reports. Generate incident logs, reports, and any other relevant documentation required.
11. To record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate format. Record these in a computerised format and any other media required.
12. To maintain personal integrity and confidentiality of all information obtained within the CCTV Control Room, always, whether written, verbal or by any other means.
13. To ensure all equipment is functioning correctly, carry out equipment checks as required, and inform immediately all required personnel of faults found. Report all faults in accordance with the LBB CCTV Operating Procedural Manual.
14. To ensure security and cleanliness of the CCTV Control Room and ensure equipment is always maintained satisfactorily. Ensure access procedures are followed in accordance with the Assignment Instruction and Operation Procedure Manual.
15. To always communicate with LBB councils’ other units and external agencies in a professional and courteous manner.
16. To undertake any special operational duties as required or instructed by Enigma management and perform any other tasks or duties which the person is reasonably expected to or instructed to undertake
17. To extract data from digital recorders, copy evidence onto media and complete documentation in accordance with control room procedures. Provide witness statements as and when required.
18. Ensure proper documentation is completed before any media is removed by Police or any authorised personnel as laid down in the assignment instructions and operating procedure.
19. To understand and follow site Assignment Instructions and Operating Procedural Manual as issued by LBB, Enigma and the site CCTV Manager.
20. To pay due regard to the company’s Health & Safety Policy. Conduct check calls as required by the site Assignment Instructions.
21. To promote a positive view towards the company, the customer, and other staff.
22. To report to management, any faults or defects that may prevent you from carrying out your duties efficiently
23. To pay due regard to the company’s Equal Opportunity Policy.

25. To act as a relief to cover other staff duties during periods of absence, as and when required.
26. To carry out other reasonable duties as may be assigned from time to time by Management.

28. To be cross trained in both Public Space Surveillance and Libraries.

Person specification: REQUIRED Qualifications and Skills

• SIA CCTV License is essential
• Must be Flexible and adaptable to work shift patterns
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Excellent telephone skills
• IT and Computer Literate
• Able to interact with customers

Operators may be required to undergo a police vetting procedure or other approved security clearance before commencing duties as a CCTV Supervisor.

Operators may be required to attend court and give evidence on the basis of their duties as a CCTV Supervisor.
