Description

Job Purpose

As a Security Officer, the purpose of your job is to ensure the safety of the site assigned to you as well as respond to any emergency situations.

Job Overview 

A Security Officer is an integral role, being the first point of contact for visitors and responsible for protecting property or people by patrolling sites and acting as access control. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Patrolling and securing the assigned site
  • Monitoring CCTV 
  • Safeguarding valuables in a secure area
  • Protecting valuables from theft, assault, fire and safety issues
  • Responding to alarms and emergencies
  • Maintaining a record of any incident 
  • Checking visitors in and out of the area 
  • Following all safety procedures 
  • Be vigilant at all times to prevent emergency situations 

Requirements

  • A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding
  • Right to work in the UK
  • First Aid and Fire Marshal training - (preferable) 
  • Flexible, committed and punctual 
  • Excellent concentration skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail 
  • Ability to remain calm and deal with emergency situations
