About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced SIA Door Supervisor to take on a Supervisor role for security at football matches in Dunfermline. This position will require you to oversee a team of door supervisors, ensuring that security operations are carried out effectively while providing leadership, direction, and support during events.
As a Matchday Supervisor, you’ll be pivotal in ensuring a smooth and secure matchday experience for fans, staff, and players while maintaining a professional, safe environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of door supervisors and security staff, ensuring all personnel are following procedures and best practices.
- Access Control & Security Checks: Oversee the process of ticketing, entry checks, and crowd flow at the main gates and throughout the venue.
- Crowd Management: Supervise crowd behaviour, manage queues, and resolve any disturbances, ensuring a positive fan experience.
- Incident Management: Act as the first point of contact for any incidents or emergencies, coordinating with other security personnel, stewards, and emergency services when necessary.
- Staff Training & Development: Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring all staff are fully trained and briefed before each match.
- Liaison with Authorities: Work closely with local law enforcement, event management, and emergency teams to maintain overall safety.
- Reporting & Documentation: Ensure that all incidents, risks, and actions are properly documented and reported to the relevant authorities.
Requirements:
- SIA Door Supervisor License is essential. (SIA Supervisor License or experience in a supervisory role is highly desirable)
- Previous experience as an SIA Door Supervisor, ideally within sports venues or large public events.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team under pressure.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to make quick, calm, and effective decisions in high-pressure environments.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during peak football seasons.
- A professional, approachable, and proactive attitude.
