Job Description 

SGC Security Services is hiring a team of SIA Licensed Officers to work at a new energy construction site in REDCAR.  

06:00 - 18:00 – Day shifts (4 on 4 off)  

Full UK driving licence required

Must be over 25

There are 2 main duties at this new site:  

To control the entry and egress of visitors and construction traffic, including booking in both people and vehicles and ensuring all visitors are aware of the site rules.

To patrol the site in an electric vehicle and ensure the integrity of the site perimeter is maintained. 

During your 12 hours shift you will rotate between Duty 1 and Duty 2.  

Examples of duties and responsibilities:  

Duty 1 

Book in vehicles

Book in individuals 

Book vehicles out.

Book individuals out 

Liaise with site manager

Completing site Daily Patrol reports 

Complete incident forms 

Duty 2 

Patrol site perimeter in car maintaining perimeter integrity 

Ensure vehicles are keeping to site speed limit 

Assist the gate person at peak times with booking in vehicles

Complete electronic patrol forms

Essential Skills 

Due to the nature of the contract, you must: 

Hold a valid SIA license. 

As part of the role is driving a vehicle around site you must hold a full UK driving licence, (must be 25 years old or over) with no more than 6 points on your licence and been driving longer than 12 months

You must be well presented, well-spoken, friendly, polite and assertive as you will be required to interact with visitors to the site including delivery drivers, client representatives, and construction staff. 

You will need excellent communication, radio, and report writing skills to assist you with your day-to-day duties to deliver excellent guarding and security services in accordance with our contract requirements. 

At times this will be a very demanding role, where working as a team is imperative, the workload at certain points of the day will be very high and the ability to remain calm and focused is essential.
