SIA Licensed Officer

Job Description 

SGC Security Services are looking for SIA Licensed Security Officers to work full-time as part of the security team at Baxi Preston, Lancashire. 

4 on 4 off day shift pattern 12-hour shifts  

Examples of duties and responsibilities: 

Gate house duties 

Booking in vehicles and visitors checking and verifying identification  

Book vehicles out 

CCTV Monitoring  

Weigh Bridge 

Answering emails and telephone calls  

Managing ingress and egress of vehicles entering site 

Liaising and maintaining a working relationship with the client onsite. 

Adhere with company policy and comply with all relevant legislations and legal requirements

Essential Skills 

Due to the nature of the contract, you must: 

Hold a valid SIA license. 

You must be well presented, well-spoken, friendly, polite and assertive as you will be required to interact with visitors to the site including delivery drivers and client representatives. 

You will need excellent communication, radio, and report writing skills to assist you with your day-to-day duties to deliver excellent guarding and security services in accordance with our contract requirements. 

At times this will be a very demanding role, where working as a team is imperative, the workload at certain points of the day will be very high and the ability to remain calm and focused is essential.
