CCTV and Control Room Operator

The successful applicant will be working within our state-of-the-art control room in Salford.

This position will be working 4 on 4 off night shifts. Times would be 6pm to 6am or 7pm to 7am

Location – Salford, M50 1RD

Throughout the shift the Operator will manage accurately, the reporting of incidents and faults and escalate appropriately. The operator will also be expected to manage emails and any other admin duties within the control room.

There is also a requirement to do some patrols of local sites in a company vehicle and as such a driving license is required. 

Candidates need to be energetic and enthusiastic, be flexible and highly disciplined with Communication skills being the key to being successful in this role. We are looking for candidates to have excellent IT skills and must be committed to punctuality, honesty, respecting your colleagues and be able to work independently and within a Team Environment.

The successful candidate must hold a valid CCTV and DS Security License.

First Aid Training is desirable.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. To provide a Professional Security Provision at all times
2. To operate and respond to all alarms within the control room
3. Review CCTV and investigate alerts in connection with the Access Control system.
4. Confidently escalate and relay any emergencies and Incidents to colleagues and Supervisors and speak to emergency services as and when required
5. Complete accurate reports of any emergencies or Incidents.
6. Efficiently manage e-mail requests throughout the day

7. Sign staff on and off shifts

8. Carry out patrols and lock/unlock properties
9. Any additional tasks requested by operational management

Candidate profile:

Education: Schooling or Higher Ed qualifications

Personally : Be focused and willingness to learn

Programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Windows, Outlook

CCTV: Immix/Sureview (not essential)

Professional communication and high level of written and spoken English

Excellent standard of written and oral communication

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Requirements

• A Valid SIA Licence - CCTV licence 
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Full UK Manual driving license
