Self-Employed Nightshift Security Officer – 5 – Star Hotel City of London, close to St Pauls area.

Position Overview.

We are seeking a professional door supervisor with a strong background in security to join our team. The role involves providing security services in a prestigious roof top bar in London.

Shift pattern – 5 nightshifts a week Monday – Friday.  

Shift times - 22:00 to 07:00, 9-hour shifts. The officer must be on duty for handover briefing 15 minutes prior to shift. 

Nightshift Security Officer Key responsibilities:

• Carry out regular patrols of the hotel.
• Provide a Lobby presence, being able to stand for long periods.
• Provide assistance as required to the Hotel Management as directed.
• Provide mutual support to the Bar & Event Security Officers.
• Maintaining order, enforcing the Hotel rules and policies.
• Comprehensive regular patrolling of all areas, not only from a security perspective, but also from Fire, Health & Safety and housekeeping. Including external areas, if required.
• Where required assisting as part of the Emergency Response Team, investigating Fire Alarm activations.
• Dealing with the removal of unauthorised and undesirable persons.
• First Aid response.
• Completing the daily occurrence logbook.
• Provide accurate statements where required with investigating incidents, completing incident reports.
• Dealing with guest concerns, disturbances and noise complaints.
• Providing a safe and secure environment, escorting guests to areas around the hotel.

Nightshift Security Officer Requirements:

• Must already be Self-Employed and hold a UTR number.
• Candidate must have a good physical stature and presence.  
• Must have experience of dealing conflict and the ability to deal with difficult clients, and therefore be prepared to deal with physical ejections.
• Must have a smart and well-presented manner for working at a 5-star hotel. Requirements will be for a full black suit, white shirt, black tie, black lace up formal shoes, no trainers or boots.    
• Must have very good soft skills and communication. 
• Must have previous hotel experience.
