CCTV Monitoring & Security Operatives

Role Overview:

We are seeking professional CCTV Monitoring & Security Operatives to provide 24/7 security and searching Operative. This role is essential to the safety and security of our site, managing CCTV operations, visitor access control, and the searching of visitors, contractors, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• CCTV Monitoring: Operate and monitor CCTV systems 24/7 to ensure the safety of staff, visitors, contractors, and residents. Maintain vigilance and respond to any unusual or suspicious activity promptly.
• Access Control Management: Oversee the access and egress of personnel at the school, ensuring a safe and secure environment. Operate the school’s access control system, including door management and alarm systems.
• Searching: Conduct security searches of all visitors, contractors, and staff using security arches and wands. Ensure that at least one female operative is present for searching duties at all times.
• Incident Response: Act swiftly to assist the ‘first response’ team during incidents, supporting access to secure areas in a controlled manner.
• Daily Logs and Reports: Complete detailed daily logs of all events and incidents, compiling accurate reports as required. Ensure all documentation is in line with the school’s policies and procedures.
• Prohibited Item Management: Follow protocols to take immediate action if any prohibited items are found during searches, escalating to management as necessary.
• 24/7 Coverage: Provide 24-hour security presence on-site, working across a scheduled rota of day and night shifts.
• Day Shifts (06:00-22:00): 3 staff members (including one female).
• Night Shifts (22:00-06:00): 2 staff members.
• Additional staff for searching as required.
• Each shift is of 8 Hrs (06:-00 –14:00), (14:00 – 22:00),(22:00 – 06:00)

Qualifications and Experience:

• SIA Licence (essential): Must hold a valid SIA Security Guard Licence.
• SIA CCTV Licence (essential): Must hold a valid SIA Security CCTV Monitoring Licence .
• Experience in CCTV Monitoring and Security Operations (preferred): Previous experience in a secure or educational setting is advantageous.
• Female Operatives: Due to the nature of the searches required, we require at least one female operative per shift.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with young people, staff, and visitors in a respectful and professional manner.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to remain vigilant and maintain concentration for extended periods, ensuring all security measures are followed.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate important security updates to colleagues and management.
